Anyone else know if I would be considered first generation?

question... how do we opt out? the website makes it seem like we are bound to whatever colleges we choose because the app and the final ranking forms are due on the same day

You CANNOT opt out. Whatever you choose, you gotta stick with it. This is even stricter than the ED policy -- you can opt out due to financial reasons with ED. But since Questbridge will provide you with full financial aid, you can't use that reason obviously.

if you are not willing to commit 100%, then you probably shouldn't apply. I know people who applied even though other schools like Harvard and UPenn were their first choices. That's just unnecessary becuase you wasted time doing an application.

Hey:

Yes, you CAN opt out of the College Match. However, if you opt into the college match, you CANNOT opt out of a binding decision to a college. If you opt out of the match, you are essentially not submitting your application to the schools (you are still a finalist). However, if you go ahead with the college match and get picked by a school, you cannot, for any reason, walk out of the agreement.
