Hi! So I’m applying to Questbridge and I have a few questions about the program.
- Is there a chance to get in with an income over $65,000? (My moms income is $20k, but my dads is about $115k- however he has been gone for a big part of my life, and we do not live together, which I explained in the additional info section)
- Does Questbridge tell you what schools you got into? Meaning, let's say I rank 8 schools and get into my #1 choice. Does Questbridge tell you if the other 7 schools accepted you or do they just tell you which school you're matched to?
I can’t answer your first question. As far as question #2 is concerned, if you are matched, you will only know the highest ranked school with which you are matched. For example, if you are matched with #2, 5 and 7. You will only know about #2. If #2 is Yale, Stanford, Princeton or MIT, you may still apply to as many schools as you wish during the RD round. If the school is not the aforementioned 4 schools, you are bound to attend that school.
I’m guessing that $65k with 2 in the family is a bit rich, even if there is 3. but how does 20 get to 65? And Does that include child support that also has to be reported on Fafsa?
@BrownParent I’m not sure what you’re asking with the first question. & I’m not sure how much my dad pays in child support or if he even pays it at all
@momofmusician17 thank you! Also, do you know if it’s possible to be deferred by colleges through the National College Match? Or is it just a straight up acceptance/rejection?
You need to know the answer to those things to prepare for college paperwork and know the true income level to run calculators.
If you are not matched you are put in the RD round at most places. This is explained, please read qb website.
