What seems to be the benefits of doing questbridge regular decision as compared to doing regular decision on your own as a Finalist?
Despite the fee waivers, are there any benefits? Will schools be less inclined to pick you through questbridge knowing that you are low income? Or, will schools read both your questbridge application and common application?
As a nonmatched Finalist, I’ve already looked through the RD requirements for nearly every Questbridge partner school to say this: it depends. Some schools (the majority of them) will accept your Questbridge application on its own, eliminating the need to make a separate Common Application. This can save you a lot of time in transferring your information, modifying your essay, etc. You don’t need to submit BOTH the Questbridge application and Common App for a school. They will ask you to submit one or the other. I would personally submit your QB application if you can. I find that it gives colleges a better idea of who I am, with all the extra essays and whatnot.
And being named a Questbridge Finalist looks impressive to colleges. If you are referring to Questbridge partner schools specifically, they’ll probably view your title with high regard.
Good luck!
I just wanted to ask
cuz we are all nonmatched finalists so do we still get generous financial aid?
