I didn’t even rank MIT for the match process for QuestBridge purposely because I wanted to spend more time on the MIT application and November 30 was way too early. I was going to submit at the end of December. I found out that they won’t let me complete part 2 because I am a QuestBridge finalist and they are using my questbridge application in place of Part 2. I didn’t even rank MIT, why are they using my QB app in place of the entire MIT part 2?? My essays on the QB app sucked now that I reread them. I have entirely new essays and they are so much better. I seriously regret QB now that I realize they are not going to let me complete Part 2. Is this a mistake or am I screwed? I didn’t know this was going to happen since I didn’t rank MIT.
Who gave you this information? If it wasn’t straight from MIT admissions office, call them and ask them directly if you can apply using their application. And ask them if they would disregard the QuestBridge App.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but would it be fine if I have already submitted my MIT EA application without the QuestBridge application? I just indicated that I was a QuestBridge Finalist on the MyMIT application in the “Honors” section and ultimately decided to opt out of the College Match, mainly due to the fact that my EFC was above 0.
I know the legendary Ms. Boyd might be a bit more of an expert on QuestBridge-specific questions, but would you happen to know, @MITChris?
@Newdle I just wanted to ask: How did it go putting Questbridge Finalist on your MIT EA app?
I’m in the same boat as you - I don’t want to go through the Questbridge application for applying, so I was hoping I could just put “QuestBridge Finalist” under the awards section.
@supalightnin PM’ed you
