I can't wait till finalist status comes out!

google2008, which qb essays do we use to replace the supplement essays with?

Princetons are: Tell us about a person who has influenced you in a significant way.
Using one of the quotations below as a jumping off point, tell us about an event or experience that helped you define one of your values.

and Stanford has:
RequiredStanford students are widely known to possess a sense of intellectual vitality. Tell us about an idea or an experience you have had that you find intellectually engaging.
RequiredVirtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate--and us--know you better.
Tell us what makes Stanford a good place for you.

Does it matter which ones we replace it with?

Also, can we use the Questbridge essays for the LAC's supplements if we were to apply regular decision? I plan on applying to a lot of LAC's and that's a lot of essays!

Do you guys think that If I take the november sat and the october 27 act that the partner schools will recieve the scores in time before they announce their match winners in late november?????

Yea if you rush the scores.

Yes intel is very stressful. My paper had 4 pages for an intro and my mentor made me move it all to the discussion so now its like a 1 page intro now. Even my materials are 5 pages long.

Doesn't anyone think my avg is too low from a specialized high school to get accepted into YPS during RD?

since when did we have to do supplements for Princeton yale and stanford?

Upon looking at the program match requirements, you are correct, sheed30, it does not include the supplements. But I was under the impression that this was necessary for the system to go through?

If not, that would be awesome! Six fewer essays to do. But we do need the supplements for the regular decision, and those have to be original in thought?

Sheed30, you have to do the entire Princeton yale, and stanford app IF you are a finalist and interested in the apps. It is on the page with all the partner schools

knguyen142, it doesn't matter. From what I understand from princeton, the admission office is basically just going to look at the common app w/ school supplement. I guess your qbridge essays have to fit the supplements questions, but when I was writing them, I made sure they coudl be used fot eh same ones.

Wait do we have to turn in teacher recs in again? WHAT!!!!! PLEASE NO!!!! Can't they just use the recs from our QB application?

Why do they want my teachers to do so much extra work.....i do not want to ask them to fill out 3 other Teacher recs in less than 1 month. NOOOOOOOOO!

Dude, calm down. I'm pretty sure they each just have to fill out one rec form, the common app one, and make photocopies to mail to the respective schools. It's not like the forms are different for each school. Besides, they will need to do that anyway if you plan to apply to any college using commonapp.

What?? Seriously? The QB application reccs are seperate from college reccs? My school is weird and counts them as the same thing. Are you absolutely sure that there has to be seperate reccs?

yes it's on questbridge' website

That's just great. So you can't use the recommendations from your teachers to any other college at all?

Teachers at my school wrote letters that they could replicate and then filled out the forms sparsely. Most of the info was put into letter format so it could be sent elsewhere.

You're only in trouble if your teachers filled out the forms and nothing else.

Oh...blddrake44, thank you so much for clarifying! I nearly got a heart attack. That means i'm ok.

Any other questbridge people take the September ACT?

yes...i got

26-writing NOOOOOOOOOO!
33-reading
34-reading
24-science OMGOMGOMG!!!!!

did you guys fax in a copy of 2006 tax return to questbridge?

because some guy from my school did and he got rejected right away because the income was too high

hen is that due?
