I was wondering what sort of applicants got into the questbridge program. For instance, what SAT score they have, their GPA, income, extracurriculars ,etc. Anyone who is actually in Questbridge or is applying to the program would be a great help. Thanks :)

Those are the statistics of those who were matched, but most students receive the benefit of QB through the RD round.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that being matched is the only possible benefit from QB. Even if your stats aren’t up to par or similar to the Match recipients, you still should apply. You’ll be introduced to colleges early, and I really think it gives you a boost in the ED/RD rounds if you’ve been a Finalist.

According to the link given by GA2012MOM, the amount of people who have 1400+ SAT scores and in the top 10% is less than I expected. Is this because getting into the questbridge program is easy to an extent or does the link just show the statistics of people in the program but not accepted or matched to their university?

^

Not sure what you are looking at, but 40% of those matched had 1400+ and 92% were in the top 10% of their class. The link I provided is just for the matched recipients for 2009. In no way would anybody who has gone through QB say it is easy to any extent! You are looking ONLY at the numbers, and QB is much more than that.

I apologize(I recently just found out about QB >.< ), by “easy to an extent” I meant that by the way I read the chart it seemed that more of the recipients had a 1200 SAT score as opposed to the 1500+ I was expecting. I must’ve read it incorrectly though I figured it was higher since I’ve been reading that QB is a very competitve process.
