Questbridge - trying to understand its value

i don't think so...you should ask Cornell but i doubt it...

oh wlel I didn't mean Cornell specifically, just any college in general.

I think only the partener colleges and you would have to ask each separate school after that.

if you are a finalist for QB but are not matched to any of the 8 schools you requested through questbridge, what happens? basically, if you aren't matched for the schools you applied to through QB, do you have to reapply normally to the schools? im very confused about this...

Think of the match process as Early Decision. If you don't get matched, it is considered like a deferral. You are now automatically (I believe -- this may be school-specific; look on the Questbridge site for the final word) put into that school's (or those up-to-eight school's) regular decision pile(s).

Got it?

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but am I restricted to applying to only one school (Yale) through Questbridge because of its SCEA program? Or can I still list various other schools if I'm not matched? I guess what I'm trying to ask is since Yale has single-choice, does that limit me to the number of schools I am able to list for matches?

No matter what a school's normal EA/EA/SCEA procedure is, it is waved if they have agreed to participate in the Questbridge match program. For example, not only can you apply to Yale early via Questbridge's match program, you can even apply to Princeton as well ... even though Princeton doesn't even HAVE an early program of any sort anymore! You can select up to 8 Questbridge schools during the match process if you are a Questbridge finalist.

Hey :)! I have a specific question regarding Stanford and the College Match process. On this page (College Match Program: Stanford FAQ) it says that even if students apply as QuestBridge Finalists, students are considered as Regular Decision applicants. Does this mean that a student gets to include grades from their senior year also in the process? What changes because Stanford considers the applicants as Regular Decision rather than as a EA Finalist applicant?
