Questbridge?

Awesome, me too...sweetness.

GOOD JOB how many finalist do you think were there?

word looks like i jumped the gun

got the finalist email just a minute ago

So what schools are you guys planning on ranking?

1: Princeton
2: Stanford

btw...is there any people who didn't get in? it's 4/4....

ill probably go with 1. stanford, 2. rice, i doubt ill actually match to either and i dont really like the idea of applying binding to anywhere so rice may get kicked off the list.. ive got major soul searching to do.

I wonder if anyone on here didn't get in. Theres another girl at my school that applied to the program so ill ask her if she got it on monday

ok. there were about 3 other ppl that applied from my school. All failed to get in. interesting...

as you know, like you my kid was named as a finalist for the 2006 QuestBridge College Match. However, she is unsure about whether she wants to enter the binding program, even though she was accepted. If she chooses not to enter the binding program, is there any meaning/prestige in telling other colleges that she was a finalist? On the other hand, does being named as a finalist not matter if she does not enter the binding program? Is it worth to mention this award to other non binding colleges if she chooses to apply.

This is her wish as she is making up her mind. I have to let her decide as I have to come to realize that she has to make her decision and I have to support it to the best of my ability. Thus I am asking this question. Thanks

Me too me too! I'm a finalist! I was jumping up and down and up and down for a little. My Princeton supplement essay was "This essay isn't done. Please don't send this to Princeton." I was thinking of applying to Pton before but now I don't want to.

I think the FAQs on their site talks about the benefits of a finalist who does not wish to enter the binding Match.

Bumblebee, my princeton essay is similar. Something along the lines of "my bad, i really didnt mean to apply here because i dont have 3 subject tests" (not that exactly)

wait...that's your topic???

or is that what you wrote (word for word)

Oh, that's what we wrote, or at least that's what I wrote word for word.

I'm a finalist too!!! I was so anixous for that email.
1. Stanford
2. Columbia

I'm unsure...I have four choices, I guess.

Rank Amherst 1, nothing else.

Rank Amherst 1, and Swat/Princeton 2/3 (unsure what order)

Rank Amherst 1, Swat/Princeton 2/3, and Oberlin/Williams 4/5

Don't rank anything.

I don't know...

I'm a finalist and only one of my teachers actually sent in a recomendation. My guidance councilor didn't send one in either.

I think I'll do ...

Bowdoin

Williams

Those were the only two I was planning to apply to and I doubt I'll get in.

And is being a finalist worth mentioning on other college applications? As like an award or something?
