I applied to Princeton ED and so did another kid from my school, but he applied under the Questbridge program. I've never heard about it before and I was wondering if it increases your chances. Also, he didn't take any subject tests. Can he still get in?

subject tests are a requirement. they only make exceptions in EXTREME cases, like if ur father donated a building or something.

but in general, QB does help

haha so if you don't take subject tests, will they just flat out reject you?

probably.

it's under "testing REQUIREMENTS" not "guidelines" or "suggestions"

aw poor golfer89's friend....
=/
And maybe lucky golfer89 depending on if he was his friend or not.

4 days remaining....

Good luck! I hope you get in! =)

well we're not really friends. He decided to apply to Princeton two weeks before the deadline and when I asked him about subject tests he said he didn't have to take them and filling out the Pton app was just a "formality"

whaaat?
lol
a formality?
pshaw.

what is he talking about????? it's a REQUIREMENT.

pshaw.

btw. questbridge ppl have very slightly lower chance of getting in because we are competing against not only the ED pool but also the questbridge recipients from last year under regular decision.

huhhh ?

Why are you competing against RD applicants from LAST year?

I think I'm missing something. =/

why would that lower chances? its not hurting P'ton to accept all QB kids, and it's also impressive

lol a formality!!! golfer, sounds like your friend might get an unpleasant surprise this friday

yeah accepting QB applicants is something to brag about, i think

ok. here's what it comes down to. If you are qualified to get in ED, you are going to get in whether you apply ED or through questbridge.

do they get the decisions for the scholarship or for Princeton on Friday?

we get decision for princeton. and if we get into princeton, we get the full ride scholarship automatically.

some people have already received a call saying that they have been matched this evening...

haha whoa seriously?
is it you or anyone you know?

oh no someone i know...he got matched to Claremont
