Question about a major/minor to go with Statistics

I learned about Statistics, which seems like a major that I could have a passion about if I were given the opportunity to ever work in the field. Right now I have the plan to possibly double major in Mathematics so that I could increase my options in the job market. I spoke with my professor and he said that it might be easier to just minor in Math instead. Also, does anyone know if finance or economics would suit my major? I’m interested in doing Data Science-related work at the graduate level, so I’m not sure of what I should have in terms of the direction that I’m going. Any advice would be appreciated. Also some of the universities don’t seem to have a finance degree, only economics, is that bad?
