Question about a supplemental essay

On the Brown supplement, it says that those interested in "Chemistry/Computer Science/Geology/Physics” have to write another essay explaining why they want to do it. My interest is in biophysics, which is administered by the Division of Biology and Medicine, rather than the Department of Physics. Do I have to write the essay explaining why I am interested in physics?

Thanks, I appreciate any answers.

Call the admissions department to get the right answer.

Yeah, I would call. It will definitely clear it up.

I wrote down biochemistry instead of chemistry and did not have to write an essay and it was fine.
