Question about academics

I'm thinking of applying to Cornell in the fall, and I was just had a question about Cornell academics. I know the science and engineering programs are incredibly good, very highly nationally ranked, etc. I was just wondering- are the humanities programs very good? I mean, at Cornell I'm sure all academics are great, but just how good are the humanities programs (in Arts & Sciences), and how good are they relative to the great engineering programs? Thanks in advance.

Not far behind. Cornell is a major research university (they spend about $565 million per year on it), so science and engineering usually come out first when mentioning the school.
