My son attended the admitted student visit this past weekend and had a great time, clinching his decision in choosing CSU! I’m excited for him. He’s paid the enrollment deposit thru their Ramweb. He’s now navigating their housing section. Is there an actual housing deposit like I’ve seen with other universities? He hasn’t come across it. Also, once you pick your orientation date and attend, is that where you pick that you want to attend the additional event up at the Mountain Campus that happens right before school starts for freshmen? I guess I’m asking when do you find out the freshmen schedule for move in, how to sign up for the weekend at the mountain course and general move in info. We will have one other child we’ll be moving into a different college 1,000 miles away around the same timeframe AND we are moving to another country this summer, so our life will be upside down anyway. Just trying to plan things/dates as well in advance as we can!
Congrats to your son! My daughter is visiting next month and we hope for a final decision too! There is a $350 Housing Fee (appears to be refundable by May 1) in addition to the $300 Acceptance Fee (appears to be refundable by May 1). The CSU orientation does include signing up for the Mountain Campus (as well as housing for parents/student during the Orientation). The Orientation Fee is NOT fully refundable and the amount refunded depends on when you cancel. Ram Welcome is August 17-20 and first day of class is August 21.

hi @Rdtsmith yes there is a deposit for housing. When he completes his housing app there is a pay at the end. For all the orientation stuff have your son go into ramweb, select orientation and all of the stuff is there. Yea congrats. We signed up for 7/9-7/10 for orientation. Good Luck
Thank you! Heard they’ll get an email to sign up for some kind of roommate matching not sure when that arrives but roommate matching is in July?
We are signed up for the 7/9-7/10 orientation also. My son is going to go to the accepted student session April 22. By then he will have made his decision between his last two schools.
And apparently there’s an app for your phone to look for roommates as well? DS got some card in the mail. Good luck @momocarly
We are going to the 7/9 orientation too. My son found a roommate on the app you are talking about. We decided early last fall and we are all set on housing too. Good luck to everyone. Go RAMS!
