I have a q. regarding the section of the app. that asks you to list your activities. Every summer my family travels, meaning that I really can't have a summer job. I'm sure that it doesn't look great that I haven't ever had a real job, and the college I'm applying to will probably wonder why I didn't work in the summer. So, should I,
a. Explain that my family travels every summer (the app. does say you can include family activities), and that will help the admissions officers understand why I didn't work
or should I,
b. not mention anything, b/c the college will just think I am some priviledged rich kid (although I'm not rich :) )-and think that I consider vacation an activity
i can see both sides...any opinions would be much appreciated!

<p>Lots of kids don't work in the summer. I seriously don't think that's a big deal. Work experience is good, but it's more about what you do during the school year, and working while having to study in the fall, winter, and spring is what really looks impressive.</p>
