Question about adding teachers and NYU paper teacher recs.

Okay, so I'm doing the common application for 5 schools including NYU. One of my teachers is going to do it online. The other teacher and my counselor have to do it on paper. Since they're doing it on paper, do I have to invite them so they can say no to do doing it online? Or can I just give them the forms, they fill it out and send it to the schools and it will count?

Another question.

NYU has a different teacher recommendation form on its site, now this is a problem because my teacher/counselor now won't be able to photocopy the same form for all 5 schools. However, I'm wondering if it would be okay to use the commonapp form in place of the one on NYU's website.

Common App requires you to list recommenders online before submitting your app. You can enter their email when adding them to your recommender list online and they will choose the "on paper" option, or you can omit their email when adding them and they will be on the list but receive no email.

Use Common App Teacher Evaluations for NYU unless Common App actually prevents you from doing so or if the NYU website says anywhere that you should not.

Well, I'm asking the NYU question because on NYU's site they had a different form for the paper recommendations instead of using the commonapp form. I'm just wondering if teachers can use the commonapp form and still turn it in.

It doesn't say not to use the commonapp form.

See this:

<a href="http://admissions.nyu.edu/pdf/apply/2009/Teacher_Rec.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.nyu.edu/pdf/apply/2009/Teacher_Rec.pdf</a></p>

Even though it is found on the common application paper section of the site, they provide this.

Then use the COmmon App form unless the Common App literally prevents you from doing so.
