<p>What exactly is the AEM department looking for from potential first-year applicants? I hope to someday be accepted into that department and will probably look for an early decision the next school year. How important are factors such as test scores and "extracurriculars" such as internships/jobs; and what are they looking for from a student and in a student?</p>

<p>fit, fit fit fit fit. numbers might be more important in AEM than say… atmospheric sciences bc it’s a more popular major, but FIT is still big.</p>
<p>I really hope I can get into an internship/job this summer. The last two have been fruitless; and the only thing I can say is that’s I’ve been a runner for these last three (somewhat disappointing) years. It sucks when you have an unfavorable non-school life…</p>
