Question about after you transfer from a 2 year to 4 year and your classes for your major...

Hello,

I am a much older student at a community college currently and was wondering, once you take all your required classes to transfer, and you actually transfer to a University, are the rest of the classes exclusively only related to your major?

For example, I am probably going to major in English (Writing) when and if I do eventually transfer to a local university (I'm thinking UC Irvine in Irvine, CA)...so I was wondering, once I am actually there, how many classes will I have to take and will they all be classes related to English (Literature, Humanities)? I believe UC Irvine is on a quarter based system.

I am trying to get an idea of what sort of a workload I should expect...

If anyone can give me the an idea of what the rest of the years look like, I would appreciate it.

Thanks a lot!

yes around that time you should be doing the classes for your major.
