Question about AMC 10

I really want to take the AMC10 test next year and hopefully qualify for aime, but i'm not sure if i'll know the material on the test well enough to get a good score. Curently, i am a freshman and am taking honors geometry. Next year, i'll take honors alg2/trig. Do you think I'll do okay with up to that? Thanks :)

Your math class doesn’t really matter for the AMC. it’s not like math class at all. You should go to the Art of Problem Solving website and take a practice test to see where you stand. A score of 120+ means that you can qualify for the AIME. For AMC 10, if you really wanna prep, I would get the AoPS Volume 1 and 2 books. Honestly, I think doing old tests should be enough.

Math classes, in general, are nowhere close to the difficulty/scope of AMC10. There’s still ~2 months until AMC10, so with some prep(1+ hr/day) via Art of Problem Solving , you should make AIME.

Thanks for the advice!
