I have asked this on an AP forum, but no reply so far, and our registration deadline is tomorrow...
AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism - do you register for both and pay $87 for each or is it a one test? If you register for two - does it count as two separate AP tests????
Thanks so much.......

My understanding is that they are two separate exams.

Yes, they are two separate exams and you will have to pay 2 fees to take both.

Are you sure, have your kids taken them?

D1 and D2 both took mechanics, but not E & M. Some of D2’s classmates took both and they paid 2 fees and took 2 exams.

Thanks!
We were very confused here today.
S’s school has not offered AP Physics C in years so hardly anyone takes it.
Neither GC nor registrar had an answer for him.
CC is indeed invaluable :)

My son took both and they count as 2; he also took Physics B the same year (he self-studied for the two Cs). We got low-income fee waivers, however, which saved us a fortune, because he took 8 APs altogether last year.

Each C is a shorter exam than most of the others and they are given back-to-back.

The class at my S’s school is Physics C Mechanics so that is the only Physics AP he will take. E&M is definitely a separate AP exam.

Thank you again!
I am sending another check for $87 with S to school tomorrow.
