I'm a sophomore and I just took the AP Music Theory exam...I've been bad at music theory all year long, took the class because it had a reputation of being easy but I got in over my head...I could have gotten a 2 or a 3...would it be better to cancel it or just leave it and see what I get? I have a 4.0 unweighted in my other classes and I'm involved in numerous EC's and I'm shooting for a top college...but how much will this hurt my chances? What should i do?

You're better off waiting. Unless you certainly got a 1, take the chance. Your grade is determined by other students and how they do. So, hope everyone else did badly...

A very select number of colleges want to see your AP scores. Actually, you'll be hurt if you cancel it. I'm not sure of your school's credit. But if you cancel your grade...you may not get the weighted advantage of taking AP which might bring down your GPA.

When junior year comes, if you do badly, you can always hide your grade from whatever college for the amount the CB charges.

One 2 on an AP is unlikely to hurt you. I had one (and got into six Top 20 schools in spite of it).

It won't bring down my GPA...but will colleges not care as much because it's Music Theory, and I will definitely not be taking any music classes in college?

you can pay to withhold a particular AP grade if it's that big a deal to you

It won't hurt you at all. AP tests can only help you by giving you a chance to earn college credit in high school. I really doubt that they have any effect on college admissions. I know for sure that a 3 DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY won't hurt you in the least bit.

Colleges don't request nor look at your AP scores in the application process.

Definitely won't hurt you. You choose which AP scores you report - if you did poorly (<3), just don't tell colleges about it.
