Question about AP score being sent to colleges

I'm so embarrassed to admit it, but I received a 2 on my APUSH exam. Now, I really thought I would get a 3 or 4 and on the exam booklet, I put code for Boston University. Is there anyway I can cancel the scores?

I'll be a junior this upcoming year and I'll be taking a couple more AP exams (Psychology, English, French.) Will this score really hurt me?

Thanks in advance!

They probably won’t even look at your AP scores. Colleges care more about your GPA, your coursework, and your rank. Don’t worry about it. Save your $15 and keep it on your record. They will know that you took the class, and really, College Board just puts a big black mark over your score, they don’t remove it from the paper.

It’s free to cancel an exam.

No, the score is removed completely.

You can cancel the score anytime; just mail/fax a request to CB. It will still be on this year’s report, but will be gone from any future reports. And since you’re not accepted to BC, BC will probably throw out your scores since they don’t have a file for you.

@314159265 yeah, it’s free to cancel an exam before it has been scored, and everyone i asked says they just mark it out in black, but if you know what you’re talking about, be my guest.
