How do AP exam scores affect one's chances at getting?

put it this way:if u have high scores, self-report them. most people don’t bother sending in the official score reports. if u have bad scores, don’t report them. they are ‘officially’ not supposed to be factored in to the admissions process, though.

Really? So if I didn’t report the scores, colleges wouldn’t care to look for them and they would just consider the actual grades I had in the AP classes?

^correct. AP scores are not required to be reported, anyways [i’m pretty sure…they weren’t for any of my schools : P]. like i said, they are technically not supposed to even be a part of the process, but people have found that they could give u a slight advantage.

Thanks alot for the info! I might just call in to some of the colleges I want to get into and see what their stances are.
