Question about AP Tests/Credits

Do colleges mainly look at the fact that you took the AP class in your highschool year,
or the actual AP test score itself?

Because I did not meet the requirements for AP Physics, I am deciding to self-study it for the AP Test instead..

would colleges for say, Emory still look at this and accredit it?

thanks

colleges care about the class. Self studying will not give you any boost in admission and AP scores have no bearing on admission. However, you can still get the credit for an ap you self studied provided you meet the minimum score.

@guineagirl96‌ If I am admitted into the college senior year and haven’t taken the AP tests yet for that year… can I turn them after I’ve taken them and still receive college credit hours?

yes, you don’t submit your scores until after they come out anyways. you request them to be sent to your college on your last ap sitting and they are sent in july.
