Question about AP World History Practice MC

I am panicking about the test. I have read/annotated Princeton Review once through and am going back through to do so again. I have tried several multiple choice practices, but there are two that stick out:

-5 Steps to a 5 500 Questions to Know
-The Sample MC in the Course Description packet on College Board’s website

I have done both. The “5 Steps” seems almost impossible on some questions if you aren’t a history expert- it’s extraordinarily difficult and fairly detailed. On the other hand, the College Board MC is much more broad, and I have done much better on it. Out of a sample of 100 questions from 5 Steps, I got about 50-60 right. Out of College Board’s 30 questions, I got 28 correct.

Which is more accurate? Is the MC on the AP World exam broader or more specific/detailed? Also, does anyone have any practice MC they recommend? I have the PR Review Book, the Barron’s Review Book, and both “5 Steps” books (and the REA Crash Course, but that doesn’t have any practice MC). Thanks so much!

Also, I just took the second practice test in the Barron’s 2014 AP World Practice Book (just the MC, not the FRQ). I got a 60/70, if that means anything.

@OxfordGirl1 That’s a nice score on the Barron’s AP World History practice book! I took the second one on the 2015 edition and I got a 52/70. I heard multiple choices scores of around 70% are what students with 5’s get.

As for your other questions, I’m not sure, but I have heard that the tests for the prep books are more difficult than the actual exam, which I guess is a good thing since it prepares you for the test more.
