Question about AP

Hi!
I just read from fizix's thread" math background" and It seems to me AP scores are quite important while I haven't taken any AP courses or written any AP exams so far.
I'm a Grade 12 from Ontario, Canada. My school is small and doesn't offer any programs like AP except the common courses offered in all ontario schools. I moved from China last year. I didn't know any about AP until October this year my physics teacher told me to write the AP exam in march,2007. Actually, I was very interested in math and physics so I taught myself a lot like advanced calculus and university level physics. and I won several national prizes in math and physics and chemistry competitions in the past several months. During last summer, I was invited to a international physics camp and a maths seminar from which I learned a lot about researching. My true love is theoretical physics and really want to go to Caltech or MIT to help me reach my goal. Well, will lack of AP scores be a problem for me? BTW, my sat 2 scores were math2-800, physics-800,chemistry-800.

Thanks!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

What's most important is to take the hardest courseload available to you. They understand that not all schools offer AP courses.

Thanks! UndulyLlamarific
But how could they know about that? Do they have profiles for canadian high schools?

The secondary school counselor report in the common application has a section where your counselor indicates the rigor of your courseload compared to your peers:

"In comparison with other college preparatory students at our school, the applicant's course selection is:
most demanding / very demanding / demanding / average / less than demanding"

THanks! That's what I'm looking for
