Question about application

My question is like this….My boyfriend ever attended a graduate school for about 2 weeks and then dropped all the courses because the faculty and curriculum did not fit his research interest. The school told him his courses are simply cancelled and will not show up on his transcript (they can’t even produce a transcript for him) since he dropped and withdrew before the last day to “withdraw with no record.” Currently he is applying to a bunch of new graduate programs, is he required to list this school in the “list of schools you’ve attended”? Some schools ask their applicants to list all the schools they’ve attended even no coursework was completed, does this mean he need to list this school for these applications? If so, how can he send a transcript to them since the school he accidently attended can’t even produce his transcript…..Since I can’t see any benefit to list this school in his application, can he simply not disclose this information (lawfully and ethically)?

Please feel free to delete this post if I post the wrong place. Thanks!

I would not list the school if there is no course and grade.

no need to mention that.
