<p>Does it matter if I send my applications in now, 2 weeks before the deadline, or in about 12 days which would be about a day before the deadline? The reason I'm asking this is because I've finished my essay but I was thinking about waiting 2 more weeks just in case I think of some better lines to write in it.</p>

plus, they people actually reading the apps arent likely the ones opening the envelopes.</p>
<p>and if you're thinking about the date stamp, they dont care unless its after the deadline.</p>
<p>If it's a postmark date, it doesn't matter. Just be sure that the app isn't supposed to be received by the date listed, as is the case with some schools. With the holidays, you should allow about 5 days for it to get there if the date listed is the date they need to actually have it in hand.</p>
