<p>Hi,
I am applying to Stonybrook University and Binghamton University, both SUNYs. I am transfer student. Their application does not give an essay or an extra-circular portion. I am wondering if it would be better if I did the common app or sent an essay based on their freshmen supplemental application and extra-circular form? But the catch is Stony Brook has yet to submit their essay question, I don't know if they are going to submit one either and I would like to get it done by september. So its either do the common app with their 250 word essay question or send in my own essay and extra-circular form with my transcripts that's based on their freshman form.
Also I feel like for some reason my application will be looked at differently if I use commonapp. Also the admin rep on the phone said that I could do that, he didn't say I should but also didn't say it was a bad idea.</p>
