Question about applying?

Hey guys,

If I apply for a major, say, something in Engineering, and I'm denied from that program, am I automatically considered for the Undergraduate Studies Program?

For example, at University of Illinois:

If an applicant is not admitted to his or her first choice program, the applicant automatically is considered for other programs in the academic community/college where he or she applied. If not accepted in that community, the applicant will be considered for other related majors or for the Division of General Studies.

I'm looking for something like that for Purdue, but have been unsuccessful in finding anything.

If you guys can provide any info, that would be great.
Thanks

I asked an admissions guy about this, and he said that if your application is denied to a program, then they give you other options for application. Then you just choose to send your app to that program. My friend did this when she got rejected for Pre-Pharmacy last year and got accepted a couple weeks later into Chemistry.
