<p>I am in IB HOTAS, and I am sitting for the AP Exam tomorrow although my class wasn't specifically geared towards the AP test. Since I am new to the format of the test, I was wondering if all of the Documents on the DBQ have to be used within the essay, or if there is a certain amount that you must use. Thank you!</p>

<p>You don’t have to use all, but you have to use MOST if you want to get a 5. And by most I mean you can maybe exclude one or two.</p>

<p>Yeah, basically try to aim to use at least 75% of the documents and try to use as much ‘outside information’ that you can fit in. And be careful about organizing your essay…and don’t be too dependent on the documents. Make sure not to quote the documents either.</p>
