Question about awards

<p>The USAMO scores recently came out, and I got 16, which is 1 point below the cutoff for blue mop (Top 30 non-seniors/winners with US citizenship). Since this is a pretty good score and says quite a bit more than just USAMO qualification, I was wondering how I could indicate this in the awards section. As I didn’t make MOP, this makes it a bit difficult. I can do any of the following:</p>

<li>Just give my score (the adcom might not be aware of the score distribution though)</li>
<li>State top 60 (this isn’t an official designation though, just got it by counting the number of scores higher than or equal to mine)</li>
<li>Give 88th percentile (this sounds sort of bad though since usually ppl like to see 99th percentile)</li>
<li>Mention that i missed MOP by 1 point (this would just sound stupid)</li>
</ol>

<p>I would give your score and state that it is in the top 60 in the country.</p>

<p>Congrats, BTW. A friend of mine just missed MOP but ended up going when someone turned it down, so maybe you'll get lucky.</p>

<p>some colleges have a place for you to put AMO scores, namely the tech schools.</p>

<p>Thanks guys! And I think the tech schools only have places for AMC and AIME scores, not the USAMO. I'll just list the score somewhere.</p>
