On june 19th I received an email saying this:

[QUOTE]
"Those of you who completed the Analytical Writing Placement Exam in May will begin to receive your results soon. Please note that any and all questions regarding the test should be directed to the Testing Center (UCI Academic Testing Center). The Undergraduate Student Affairs Office does not handle any of the placement testing.
Also, your results will indicate which course you should plan to take WHEN YOU ENROLL FOR COURSES DURING YOUR ORIENTATION.
Finally, please do not view this as a pass/fail test. It is designed to place you at the appropriate writing level.
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL"

Around the same time I also got a letter from the agency saying my essay satisfied the UC requirement. Is this the same thing as the results they are talking about? It says that my results will indicate which course to take at orientation but it doesn't say that in the letter.

Also what does the "please do not view this as a pass/fail test"?

Another thing is that they don't have my results up on the placement testing website. I called and ask someone and she said that they have them but they haven't put them up yet and that all i need to do was just bring the letter saying that I satisfied the UC requirement. Is this all i need to do?

I know I may be sounding paranoid but does all this seem right? I'll be able to do Writing 39B?
