are people able to bunk their beds at Northwestern in the dorms?

Beds come bunked. You can debunk them if you want.

cool. I was just wondering because I saw somewhere on the website that you cannot loft your bed and I thought that meant that you cant bunk them.

lofting is just raising the bed by putting stuff underneath the bedposts. some of the newer dorms have beds that the bed sepeartes from the headboard and you can raise and lower it and get a good 3 ft under, or just 1 ft if you want

you technically can't loft your beds, but i have friends who have (using cinder blocks) and they jsut take them down between breaks when the CAs go through checking you room

I believe the technical aspect of lofting vs raising them is a distinction of height, ie. a lofted bed could be above a desk. One of my hosts at preview NU said you can't loft them but that Bed Bath and Beyond's bed raisers were a godsend. So
