Question about Being a 2nd generation, 3rd generation, etc.?

<p>Let's say [completely hypothetical] that your father went to Cornell, but transferred out after 2 years. Would Cornell want to know that your father went there?</p>

<p>That depends on the college. Some only care if your parent has a degree (UG or graduate). Some want to know if your grandparent was enrolled for one semester. It’s not always about the strict definition of a legacy, and varies widely.</p>
