Question about being Deferred

<p>Hi, just wondering something about what happens when you get Deferred from the ED pool. I didn't apply ED, but was just curious.</p>

<p>It seems the % of applicants accepted after being deferred from ED is really small? Why is that the case? Are deferred applicants put in the same pool as RD applicants after ED is finished? Or are they in a separate "Deferred ED" pool? </p>

<p>Any guesses or straight answers?

<p>Deferred applicants are put in the RD pool, not a separate pool. If I had to guess, I'd say the admission rate might be lower because the RD applicant pool is more competitive than the ED one and the stats of the deferred people seem relatively lower.</p>
