Question about being Jewish and how it affects my chance

Since BC is a noted Jesuit university will I be at a disadvantage since I’m Jewish? I also incorporated my religion into my essay. I just am curious as to whether or not this will complicate my chances for admission.

It will have no effect on your admissions decision.

I attended an info session at BC in Oct 2011. One student on the panel was Jewish & talked about how religious diversity was embraced on campus. So I think you’re fine and it may even be a helpful tip, all else being equal!

Addressing the second part first it won’t affect your chance. Now, what is your question about being Jewish?

I would not worry about being Jewish at all. Last year, honors visit day panel, which is run in conjunction with admissions, had two BC Rhodes Scholarship Finalists on the panel. Both were Jewish, and both had very positive things to say about BC.

Thank you for the insight. Sorry if the question seemed rediculous.

my roommates jewish

If anything, it helps.
