this is a long time ago, but someone i know got waitlisted at Wheaton College and this was their dream school basically. so i guess what he did was call every day (well that was probably an exageration on my friends part) to ask if he had moved up the list. Eventually they acceptted him, which my friend said was because he called so much, although it could be because he had actually moved up the list. i was wondering if this would at all be a good idea if i get waitlisted, which i probably will at one of my reaches that i would love to go to, or if it will just **** them off and decrease my chances?

It depends if it’s a college like Wheaton or if it’s Harvard. Demonstrated interest at less selective LACs, done well, is usually a good thing. Harvard, on the other hand knows most waitlisted want in and won’t be as enthusiastic about your interest.
