I'm 2/3 of the way done with a practice SAT in the blue book. I just finished the writing section, and the score range given my raw score and my essay score was about 130 points. How can I figure out roughly where in there my score would actually be? As a matter of fact, how can I figure out in ANY section what my score would roughly be, were this my exam?

Average Curves:

Wow, thank you! That’s a great site, but one other thing: how would I combine my essay and multiple choice scores in the writing section to get a more approximate estimate of my overall score?

^ I second his query

@crouch-just FYI, I’m a she. :)

For the BB, just take the average of the scores. For that chart though, I don’t think you’ll be able to factor in the essay.

Ok, I’ll do that. Shame about the essay score, though. Thank you all very much!

I just found this [Official SAT Practice Test 2008-2009 Answers](<a href=“Official SAT Practice Test 2008-2009 Answers | PDF | Sat | Multiple Choice”>Official SAT Practice Test 2008-2009 Answers | PDF | Sat | Multiple Choice) . Maybe a +/-20 would yield a better estimate…

I’m still trying to figure out a good way to add the essay scoring to the curves chart.

Until then, here are ranges using 10/07 as a hard writing test and 1/09 as an easy writing test, for three single-reader essay scores. Sorry if these are too much at the top end…
