Question about Boston University's grading system

I’m a senior who’s choosing between Tufts and Boston University. I want to go into medicine and to do that, I need to have the best GPA I can.

I was thinking of going to Tufts, but I was suggested to go to BU because the classes in BU would be less competitive and, as a result, easier to do better in.

However, I’m reading many articles that talk about how hard it is to get a good GPA at BU and how it’s one of the hardest colleges.

Not to mention BU has a lower average GPA compared to other schools like Boston College, where the average is 3.0 vs 3.3

Should I rethink my decision and just go to Tufts instead?

And please don’t give me a ham-fisted answer like “You’ll get an A if you work hard”. I’d rather get an A in Tufts than do more work and get an A in BU.

According to grade inflation.com in 2004 the average GPA at BU was 3.04 and at Tufts it was 3.39. Likely they are higher today. Tufts will offer smaller classes.
I would suggest picking the school that fits you best.
Good luck with your decision.

Most pre-meds are weeded out at both schools.

First you need to be accepted at both of these schools, which is by no means certain.
