Do those who don’t submit their SAT score have a rougher time getting admitted? I remember reading in my “Chance Me” thread that Bowdoin would be a reach for me because of my SAT scores (Not offended but I didn’t know my SAT scores would be the reason why Bowdoin would be a reach). So what’s up with the SAT-Bowdoin relationship?

Please guys, any input.

Bowdoin wants it both ways; they want you to think they don’t matter so that you’ll send in the application, but, somehow my sense is they very much DO matter when push comes to shove.

i just visited bowdoin a few days ago, and in the info session they made sats seem very important. they even said that if they have two applicants with equal packages and one submits scores while the other doesnt, theyll most likely choose the one who submits scores

=[. Lame. Oh well; I guess I have to pick up my scores. Thanks for helping me out. I’ll just try to bring up my scores then.

The acceptance rate is slightly lower for studens who don’t submit scores but not by much.

if you don’t submit scores they look more closely at what you do submit. make sure the rest of your application is strong and you’ll be fine.
