If I apply to the school of communication and don’t get in could I get accepted to the school or arts and sciences?? Or if you don’t get in to the school you apply to is that it, no chance for the others??

Question: How would you get accepted to the CAS? I think you can only apply to one school, so as far as I know, no, you don't have a chance for others.

just checking because i know USC puts you in the arts and science one if you don't get into your school, just seeing if it was similar at BU. Does anyone else know??

is it easier to get into CAS or is communication a lot harder?? what would anyone suggest 4.12 GPA 1350 SAT good ec's and essay, would it be better for me to apply to CAS instead??

anyone?????????

If you don't get into the school you applied to (COM, CAS, SMG, SED, etc.), but you get accepted to BU itself, you will be placed in CGS: the College of General Studies. There, you will spend two years taking general studies courses, and when you are a junior, you'll switch into the school of your choice.

Although many students in CGS feel that they're taking classes that feel like high school all over again, from what I understand, it's not too bad in the long run. I'd think of it as taking CGS courses instead of all the liberal arts requirements you'd have to take anyway. Depends on how you look at it, and how bad you really want to come to BU.
