Hey everyone, I have been lurking on these forums for a long time but I have a question now and am in quite a panic. I am a California community college student looking to transfer to a UC. After completing Fafsa, I realized that the Cal Grant was a separate application with its own process that is also due today. I was under the impression from my Councillor that completing the FAFSA would be all that is needed. I realize that this is 100% my fault and that I should have done my research and been aware. Is it too late for the Cal Grant now? Or is there any way I can send it in late. Thanks in advance.

call your community college FA office, or the office of the UC you are transferring to, or the phone number on bottom of above link to ask about this.
When I filled out the FAFSA it automatically applied me to the Cal Grant, then my college electronically verified my GPA. I didnt have to do anything. Each community college is different though. I go to Coastline CC in Huntington Beach, CA.
