Question about Calculusss

So I’m taking Calculus BC next year, AP Physics M, and AP Physics ENM in terms of my math and science classes. Should I take Calculus with Analytic Geometry 1 at my local community college so I can be more prepared or am I better off studying Calc AB by myself over the summer. Just scared that calc w/ Analytic Geo might not being challenging enough and it wont help me at all. Whats the move?

I think it depends on you. If you’re the type of person who is motivated enough to self study to a high standard then go for the self study. It’s a lot more flexible. Personally I don’t think you have all that much to worry about. Physics C is meant to be taken alongside BC and BC covers everything in AB. I took both of them and I didn’t really have much of a problem with the classes. Also what does Analytic Geo entail?

I would probably just get familiar with limits and how to take basic derivatives and integrals before jumping into Physics C. Know that derivative is an instantaneous rate or “slope” of a function, and integration can be used to find area, volumes, and average values. I’m not sure how your Calc BC class is, or whether it’s designed for you to skip Calc AB. Physics C requires very basic Calculus, and I believe the most complex Calculus-topic you need to worry about is vector fields, and I don’t even think Physics C requires that much depth.
