Question about canceling scores

I'm doing a self study of AP Government & Politics. I don't really feel prepared for the exam, but I kind of have to take it.

So my question is, after I receive my scores back in July, can I not send it to colleges?

By the way, I'm a sophomore.

Thanks alot.

yeah, all you have to do is write a letter and send it by mail saying which exam you want to cancel…i did that to one of my exams last year ( i was a soph and self-studied one too)

just to clarify, if you’re taking multiple APs and don’t do so well on one of them, can you cancel just that test and send the rest of your scores to colleges without reporting that test?

also, is there a deadline for canceling scores?

yes…you can just cancel one…
i think there is a deadline…but i’m not sure, you should check the website for that one…
and, if you are a senior, i think even if you cancel it, colleges will see your scores…i might be wrong though…
