Question about cell phones

I got dumped into the pool today, and my cell phone was in my pockets. How do I know if I have a warranty? I have had it for a long time - 2-3 years maybe? I don't know if there will be a warranty. If there is do, what do I tell the company?

If there's not? What should I do?

Thanks!

Doubt that you will have a warranty if it is 2-3 years old. And a warranty would not cover damage from it being soaked in a pool.

A lot of phone companies allow you to upgrade your phone every couple of years for a minimal amount. For instance AT&T have several phones you can upgrade to for free after @ 2 years. They do charge an activation fee of @ $18.

uhh your phone should still work..i’ve had my phone for 3 years, and I’ve gone from dropping it in a full sink of water, into a deep puddle of ice cold water. Just turn it off, take the battery out,and leave it out to dry for some time…try using a blow drier (from a distance)…good luck.

A bit sketchy. But if you’re under warranty, look up the conditions that it is acceptable to get it replaced/fixed under. And, figure something out. Or, if you have phone with a SIM card, look for unlocked phones to replace yours with. Try tigerdirect.
