Question About Certificates/ECs/Internships

Hey quick question, when you submit your application for admission, can you/do you have to include any certificates of achievement or any recommendation letters from internships or even letters/recommendations from your ECS? Why I ask this is because I'm not sure how to "prove" that I've done so many number of ECs or I've done this internship. You know what I mean? Can you someone answer this please, because it's really been bugging me for a long time!

For example, I've done Trinity Speech and Drama Examinations for 3 years now, I've achieved 2 Distinctions, 1 Merit and 1 Pass so far.. So when I apply, I will mention this under ECs and maybe under Awards/Honors received, but will I have to send in a copy of the certificates with my application packet?

Another example, I interned at a hospital for 3 weeks, I will mention that on the internships list on my application, but will I have to submit a copy of the recommendation to prove that I did it? Or will they believe me? Or be suspicious?

You can submit additional rec letters beyond the required ones, but only 1 or 2 more is necessary. The short answer is that they take you on your word. One or more of your letters should probably come from people who were involved with ECs like that. You may also want to consider writing an essay that involves one of those ECs in some way, even if it’s small.
