Question about College GPA

Hi this is not for me but a friend I know who came to the US (he's interantional) to study.

How important is College GPA? By the looks of it, he will probably not go to grad school. He is majoring in accounting/psychology... is GPA not important? Is just getting his degree important?

Please help me out on this!

What type of grad school is he looking at? What kind of career is he considering? Answers about GPA vary depending on his answers to these questions … What is his GPA?

Important to what? GPA can make a big difference in the employment market, particularly for getting that first job.

That’s what I was looking for. Thanks.

To clarify: when I think of college GPA, I think of being competitive for grad schools (med, dental, etc). Since he prob won’t go to grad school, I’m wondering how important it is to scrutinize over grades, i.e how good grades would benefit him since he’s not going to grad school.
