question about common app...

if I am applying to multiple schools on the common app, for the professor reccomendation would it be ok to have them just write one, and make coppies to send out to schools, rather than just having them write a whole bunch of them?

yes, that's how it's usually done

yeah ur profs would probably be kinda mad if you expected them to write a different one for each school

yes. Give the prof stamped and addressed envelopes for as many schools as needed. (I'm assuming that they can't yet submit the recs online).

A word of caution about that. I prepared stamped and addressed envelopes for my recommenders and they ended up having to trash them b/c they MUST use the school's official stationary, which includes their envelopes. If you want to provide stamps as a kind gesture, that's fine, but my prof told me that the school provided them with stamps as well.

Wait, not all the time. My profs didn't use official stationary at all...

Schools do not require that envelopes be of the school's official stationary.

My mistake. At my school they do.
