Question about Common Data Set - geographical residency and state residence

<p>I have noticed on the Common Data Sets (in the C section) for many schools that geographical residency is "considered" but state residency is "not considered." </p>

<p>Does geographical residency refer to international v. US? Or does geographical residency refer to regions within the US?</p>

<p>Can be either or both.</p>

<p>I’ve thought that the state residency column is more for public universities and colleges, which may consider in-state versus out-of-state residency in admission.</p>
