Question about community work when applying.

Hi everyone!
I'm in my senior year right now and I'm applying for college, I'm aiming for competitive schools, I want to major in Comp. Science. I have a 3.9 GPA and I have been doing community work for 4-5 hours a week for the last year.
The thing is that, I took like a 1 month break after I got the recognition from the volunteering organization, and I started again last week, but with another organization as reputable as the first one.

I want to know, when applying for college, how should I bring up the fact that I have started working again for the community? I mean, do I just say something among the lines of "I am volunteering again and by the end of the year I will have done ___ hours/week"? Isn't this kinda irrelevant and tacky, since I'm talking about something that I haven't done yet?

How do I mention this in my application without making it look like I'm bragging, but I still want to get recognition from the university from it?

Also another question, do I have to supply the university with proof that I have worked, when I give them the application? How do they check and verify that I have worked and I will keep working? I'm lost and I wanna know how to do it right.

Thanks!

Bump. Anyone?
